Carmelites :Northumberland Third Order Carmelites
St. Paul’s have a Carmelite Spirituality group in the name of Northumberland Third Order Carmelites which meet at St. Paul`s on the third Sunday of the month in the winter chapel at 1:30 p.m. The charism of this prayer group is prayer, service and community, leading to the loving service of one another. This is what they live out in their daily lives. The group come together once a month to pray contemplatively, expand their spiritual knowledge through formation talks and discussions and to socialise. They follow the example of the first hermits who lived on Mount Carmel who looked to Mary our Mother and Sister, and to Elijah, (who is revered as the `Father of all Carmelites`) as faithful witnesses to God`s love.
